This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Become a part of our team at Prominent Edge as a Lead DevOps Engineer.

• Engage in tasks you find enjoyable while contributing to various projects.

• Create and implement scalable solutions using AWS technologies.

• Automate the setup of environments and enhance deployment processes.

• Produce high-quality work while continually expanding your knowledge of new technologies.

• Collaborate with colleagues on projects that often incorporate geospatial elements.

• Maintain comprehensive expertise in Amazon Web Services and other necessary infrastructures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer.

• At least 8 years of total experience, including a minimum of 1 year in web or software development.

• Proficient in automating environment provisioning through the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure as code solutions.

• Skilled in delivering scalable solutions using Amazon Web Services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Message Queues, and CloudFormation Templates.

• Experienced in deploying and managing Kubernetes on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Capable of designing secure and scalable solutions.

• Strong administration skills in *nix environments.

• Development experience in a Linux environment with Bash, Powershell, Python, JS, Go, or Groovy.

• Knowledgeable in automating and optimizing build, test, and deployment phases for continuous integration.

• Familiar with automated deployment technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Experience in managing automated build environments like Jenkins and Hudson.

• Proficient in configuring and deploying logging and monitoring services such as Fluentd, Logstash, GeoHashes, etc.

• Experienced with Git/GitHub/GitLab.

• Knowledgeable in DockerHub or a container registry.

• Experienced in building and deploying containers in a production environment.

• Strong understanding of security and recovery from a DevOps perspective.
