Database Reliability Engineer – DBRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Develop reliability strategies for distributed database systems.

• Streamline processes for provisioning, monitoring, backup, and recovery through automation.

• Ensure data environments are performant, scalable, and observable.

• Establish governance standards within a Data Mesh framework.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams to enhance solutions.

• Oversee cloud-native environments and optimize resources on AWS.

• Play a key role in advancing automation and CI/CD methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL (mandatory).

• Experience with MongoDB (mandatory).

• Familiarity with Liquibase (mandatory).

• Knowledge of SQL Server (preferred).

• Skills in query tuning and performance optimization.

• Experience managing SQL and NoSQL environments.

• Proficiency in AWS services (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and Secrets Manager).

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience in cloud-native environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and data pipelines.

• Understanding of Data Mesh concepts.

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Experience in Data Governance.

• Proficiency in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.

• Relevant AWS certifications.

• Experience in Data Governance and DataOps practices.

• Background in fintech or payment platform environments.

• Proficiency in Python for automation and data integration tasks.

• Experience with automation using PowerShell or Bash.

• Practical application of Kubernetes in database management.
