Staff Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of Application Security and Cloud Security functions.

• Define technical priorities, decision-making frameworks, and operational expectations.

• Design and implement defensive measures for AI-driven capabilities.

• Evaluate software, services, dependencies, and infrastructure for vulnerabilities.

• Enhance the resilience of the AWS environment across identity boundaries and configurations.

• Increase automation for cloud and platform assurance.

• Establish a risk-based approach to prioritize addressing issues.

• Set secure engineering standards for design, development, testing, and deployment activities.

• Develop secure implementation frameworks for new platform features.

• Conduct in-depth technical evaluations for significant initiatives.

• Advise on authentication and authorization choices for business processes.

• Integrate application and cloud control methodologies.

• Collaborate with Corporate Security on shared capabilities.

• Enhance detection, validation, and testing methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of experience in security engineering, focusing on application or product security and cloud security.

• Strong expertise in AWS security, including IAM, networking, encryption, and logging.

• Knowledgeable about emerging AI security guidelines, including the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.

• Proficient in reading and analyzing application code and system architecture, with familiarity in backend environments such as Ruby, Node.js, or Java.

• Excellent communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience working in regulated sectors like healthcare, finance, or education.
