Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, establish, and uphold best practices for the implementation of products and services.

• Configure, implement, and provide support for production security tools and technologies.

• Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the implementation, support, and troubleshooting of security tools.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to security toolsets in client environments.

• Manage client onboarding projects, which include portal configuration, agent deployment, best-practice configurations, and systems auditing.

• Collaborate on urgent security incidents that necessitate response, containment, and remediation efforts.

• Offer recommendations for toolset tuning and best practices in security.

• Engage in discussions regarding client security posture and suggest enhancements to comprehensive security strategies.

• Prioritize and address incoming support tickets and requests related to managed security tools.

• Participate in daily shift handover meetings.

• Provide support for cloud-based SIEM, EDR, and anti-spam/phishing products.

• Assist with SOAR, MFA, encryption, and vulnerability management platforms.

• Help with alert triage.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in implementing security products, best practices, and security device policies for both small and large enterprises.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Security Administration.

• Profound understanding of Office 365/Azure AD security tools, policies, implementation, and reporting.

• Knowledge of networking concepts or practical experience with TCP/IP, routing, and VPN.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and reside within the United States or its Territories.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills when interacting with support personnel, customers, and managers.

• Capability to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively within a team.

• Practical experience with KnowBe4, CrowdStrike, SAML/SSO, Okta, Intune, Cisco Umbrella, Rapid7, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Abnormal Security, and Avanan.

• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and their implementation.

• Experience with DLP technologies/software is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Power BI, BrightGauge, or comparable business intelligence reporting tools is a plus.

• Experience in software development, coding, and/or advanced scripting is a plus.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Google Chronicle, or Splunk.

• Certifications related to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Security products are desirable.
