This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for our finance core; you will handle the most intricate FICO issues.

• Take ownership of solution design and system architecture for the finance platform: create solutions in S/4HANA, assess when to build, configure, or adopt standard functionalities, and technically validate all changes prior to their deployment in production.

• Lead the FICO workstreams in our SAP transformation initiative, which includes redesigning Record-to-Report and Controlling processes, as well as quality-gating deliverables from our external implementation partners.

• Continuously evaluate and enhance current financial workflows to ensure they align with SAP Global Standards and adhere to “Clean Core” principles.

• Mentor and cultivate the skills of our FICO consultants: assess their deliverables, enhance their technical expertise, and develop runbooks and best practices that bolster team resilience.

• Assist in the design of modern integrations utilizing the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to link S/4HANA with internal and external systems.

• Challenge existing processes: proactively identify opportunities for configuration, tooling, or automation that can save time and enhance the SAP user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of hands-on SAP FICO experience (GL, AP/AR, AA, CO) in SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud, with a strong understanding of SAP RE-FX.

• Familiarity with integration points with other modules (e.g., MM, SD, Subscription Billing). Experience with SAP Treasury and BCM is advantageous.

• Proven track record in designing RICEFW objects, including interface design using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and BTP.

• Solid accounting knowledge (IFRS and HGB).

• Demonstrated experience in steering or quality-gating external consultants/system integrators; capable of differentiating high-quality deliverables from merely acceptable ones.

• Strong preference for SAP standards and avoidance of custom development to ensure system maintainability; you actively promote a return to standard solutions.

• Experience in full-cycle implementations or significant roll-outs, with the ability to transition between detailed technical work and high-level project coordination.

• Proactive, decisive, and adept at solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in mentoring or technically leading other consultants; you enhance the capabilities of those around you, not just your own contributions.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.

• Highly analytical and data-driven, with a strong customer focus and readiness to thrive in an impact-driven environment.

• Familiarity with product development and Agile methodologies.

• Proficient in English.

• Understanding of adjacent systems in the data chain (DWH, automation tools) is a plus.
