Staff React Native Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical vision and architecture for Kraken’s Pro mobile application

• Develop and sustain high-performance mobile applications utilizing React Native and TypeScript

• Lead efforts to enhance app performance, reliability, and scalability (such as startup time, responsiveness, and resource efficiency)

• Serve as a technical leader across various teams, ensuring consistency and quality throughout a shared codebase

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver meaningful, user-facing features

• Take initiative during critical production challenges, identifying issues and driving solutions

• Define and advance engineering standards, best practices, and tools for mobile development

• Mentor engineers and elevate the overall technical proficiency of the team

• Remain engaged with the code while also operating at a strategic, platform level

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on mobile development

• Extensive expertise in React Native and TypeScript

• Demonstrated experience in owning or leading large-scale, production mobile applications

• In-depth understanding of mobile performance optimization, architecture, and debugging

• Proven track record of delivering measurable enhancements to app performance (such as load time, stability, and efficiency)

• Strong knowledge of iOS and Android platforms

• Experience collaborating across multiple teams or shared platforms

• A proactive mindset driven by ownership and a tendency for action
