This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the journey from code commit to operational software on Render, encompassing the build system, deployment experience, and composable delivery components.
• Establish the roadmap and be accountable for build and deployment results, including deployment speed, success rates, and time taken for failure diagnosis.
• Define and deliver essential primitives such as reusable build artifacts and application-level deployments.
• Propel performance enhancements in areas like caching, incremental builds, monorepo workflows, and build compute options.
• Enhance failure diagnosis through classification, identifying root causes, and establishing debuggability metrics.
• Engage in ongoing conversations with customers and convert their feedback into product priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering to prioritize foundational refactors in response to urgent customer needs and advocate for necessary tradeoffs.
• Work alongside customer success and sales teams on at-risk accounts, commitments, workarounds, and communication strategies.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, design, customer success, and go-to-market teams.
• Over 6 years of experience in product management.
• Background in developer tools, infrastructure, or platform products.
• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD, build systems and caching, containers, and registries.
• Familiarity with canary, blue-green, rollback, health-check, and zero-downtime deployment methodologies.
• Experience with infrastructure as code.
• Ability to actively participate in architectural discussions and differentiate between technical constraints and personal preferences.
• Capability to define direction over multiple quarters and align engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
• Skill in conceptualizing reusable primitives and platforms.
• Comfort with ambiguity, limited data, customer interactions, analytics, and technical limitations.
• Strong communication skills with engineers and CTO-level stakeholders.
• High expectations regarding developer experience, speed, reliability, and clarity.
