Staff Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement design strategies that align with business goals and user requirements.

• Oversee the complete design process from initial discovery and research to wireframing, prototyping, and final user interface execution.

• Perform advanced user research, conduct usability testing, and carry out A/B testing.

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure smooth design execution.

• Create scalable UI components and contribute to the overall design system.

• Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles.

• Design and enhance micro-interactions and motion elements.

• Utilize data-driven insights to enhance user experience and drive business outcomes.

• Provide mentorship and direction to junior designers.

• Keep abreast of fintech trends and best practices to foster product innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in a senior product design position, successfully leading impactful projects.

• Expertise in visual design, including typography, grids, layout, and color theory.

• Proficient in interaction design, information architecture, and user flow creation.

• Experience in designing responsive mobile and web experiences.

• Strong understanding of behavioral psychology and user decision-making processes.

• Extensive background in usability testing, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations.

• Ability to synthesize both qualitative and quantitative insights.

• Familiarity with UX analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Hotjar.

• Skilled in atomic design principles and scalable UI frameworks.

• Strong proficiency in motion design tools, including Lottie, After Effects, and Principle.

• Experience in mentoring and supporting junior designers.

• Ability to convey design rationale and influence stakeholders across various teams.

• Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced product environments.

• Extensive experience with Figma, including auto layout, design tokens, component variants, interactive prototypes, and scalable design libraries.

• Proven experience in fintech and/or SaaS sectors.

• A resume and portfolio showcasing end-to-end product thinking, research, wireframes, prototypes, execution, and measurable impact.
