This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.
• Develop and implement design strategies that align with both business goals and user requirements.
• Oversee the complete design process from initial research and discovery to wireframing, prototyping, and the final execution of the user interface.
• Perform in-depth user research, usability testing, and A/B testing.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure smooth implementation of designs.
• Create scalable UI components and contribute to the overarching design system.
• Promote principles of accessibility and inclusive design.
• Design and enhance micro-interactions and motion graphics.
• Leverage data-driven insights to enhance user experiences and maximize business outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior designers in their professional development.
• Stay updated on fintech trends and best practices to foster product innovation.
• Over 3 years of experience in a senior product design position focused on user experience, with a proven track record of leading impactful projects.
• Expertise in visual design, including typography, grids, layout, and color theory.
• Proficient in interaction design, information architecture, and user flow creation.
• Comprehensive understanding of mobile and web design for both responsive and adaptive experiences.
• Strong grasp of behavioral psychology and user decision-making processes.
• Significant experience in usability testing, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations.
• Ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative insights into design choices.
• Familiarity with UX analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Hotjar.
• Skilled in atomic design principles and scalable UI frameworks.
• Proficient with motion design tools, including Lottie, After Effects, and Principle.
• Experience in mentoring and guiding less experienced designers.
• Capacity to communicate design rationale effectively and influence stakeholders across various functions.
• Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced product teams.
• Extensive experience with Figma, including auto layout, design tokens, component variants, interactive prototypes, and scalable design libraries.
• Proven experience in fintech and/or SaaS sectors.
• A resume and portfolio showcasing robust UX case studies that highlight process, research, impact, and leadership.
• Portfolio ideally featuring fintech or SaaS-related projects with measurable improvements in user experience, business metrics, or engagement.
