Staff Platform Engineer, Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of our internal platform ecosystem.

• Define the architecture of the platform, set engineering standards, and empower product teams with a top-tier Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

• Enhance developer experience, ensure system reliability, strengthen security measures, and establish robust cloud networking foundations.

• Foster innovation in cloud-native and AI-driven engineering methodologies.

• Design and manage AWS network topology, incorporating multi-account and multi-region architectures.

• Create and improve self-service functionalities, reusable templates, and automation tools.

• Architect and supervise AWS environments (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, etc.).

• Set observability standards, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure positions.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.

• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• In-depth expertise in AWS networking, encompassing VPC design, IP addressing, routing, and connectivity patterns (Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, peering).

• Demonstrated experience in designing multi-account and hybrid network architectures within AWS.

• Comprehensive understanding of cloud network security, segmentation, and zero-trust principles.

• Proven track record in designing and deploying Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform).

• Strong grasp of microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.

• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD systems and DevSecOps practices.

• Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, and governance frameworks.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, or similar).
