Staff Platform Engineer, Cloud Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the CI/CD architecture along with the developer experience.

• Propel ongoing enhancements to the reliability, speed, and predictability of pipelines.

• Establish paved paths that allow product teams to deploy swiftly and securely.

• Manage the entire delivery process, from code merging to production deployment.

• Advocate for progressive delivery methodologies, such as canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

• Develop tools for observable, repeatable, and self-service deployment processes.

• Oversee and improve the Internal Developer Portal and its self-service functionalities.

• Collaborate with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure while maintaining a focus on developer delivery.

• Integrate AI tools into delivery workflows to foster sustainable productivity improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience roles that emphasize CI/CD and delivery, preferably in organizations with over 200 engineers.

• Proven track record of managing and operating a CI/CD platform at both administrative and architectural levels, including aspects like security, configuration, and enablement.

• Demonstrated capability to design and manage delivery systems at scale.

• Practical experience in software development, particularly with production-quality Go.

• Familiarity with progressive delivery practices, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.

• Experience leveraging AI to enhance engineering speed, quality, and the overall developer experience.

• Strong collaborative abilities and the capacity to influence across various teams.

• Nice to have: experience in building and/or maintaining an Internal Developer Portal in a production environment.

• Nice to have: experience in both Software and Platform Engineering teams.

• Nice to have: an interest in Security and a solid understanding of RBAC and OAuth.
