SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and create ABAP CDS Views tailored for both operational and analytical reporting needs.

• Construct CDS-based Basic, Composite, Consumption, Cube, and Analytical Query views in accordance with SAP best practices.

• Collaborate with the SAP S/4HANA Virtual Data Model to enhance the reuse of SAP standard CDS views.

• Develop and refine S/4HANA Embedded Analytics solutions for real-time reporting purposes.

• Generate CDS annotations for analytics, user interface, semantics, associations, authorization, and consumption needs.

• Implement CDS access controls/DCL to ensure compliance with data authorization standards.

• Create calculated measures, restricted measures, filters, parameters, hierarchies, and analytical query capabilities.

• Analyze and improve the performance of CDS Views and analytical queries.

• Design and develop SAC Stories, dashboards, analytical applications, and visual representations.

• Create SAC solutions utilizing Live Connections and Import/Acquired Data scenarios.

• Integrate SAC with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics/CDS Analytical Queries.

• Enhance SAC stories and dashboards for optimal performance and user experience.

• Assist in the transport and deployment of SAC content across development, quality, and production environments.

• Translate functional and reporting requirements into scalable analytical solutions.

• Collaborate with functional teams, business stakeholders, data teams, security teams, and solution architects.

• Assess reporting requirements and propose solutions leveraging Embedded Analytics, SAC, or a combination of both.

• Conduct data validation and reconciliation across S/4HANA transactional data, CDS Views, Analytical Queries, and SAC reports.

• Address data, authorization, connectivity, and performance issues as they arise.

• Prepare technical specifications, solution designs, unit-test documentation, and deployment records.

• Engage in code reviews, testing, defect resolution, cutover activities, and post-production support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Approximately 4+ years of SAP experience, particularly with substantial hands-on expertise in S/4HANA analytics.

• At least 3–4 years of practical experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and/or SAP Analytics Cloud.

• Proven experience in delivering comprehensive analytical solutions from requirements gathering to design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Strong practical experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics.

• Extensive experience in developing ABAP CDS Views.

• Familiarity with CDS annotations, associations, parameters, calculated fields, and analytical semantics.

• Experience with CDS Cube Views and Analytical Queries.

• Solid understanding of the S/4HANA Virtual Data Model (VDM).

• Experience with SAP standard CDS View discovery and extensibility.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

• Proficiency in developing SAC Stories and dashboards.

• Experience in connecting SAC to SAP S/4HANA.

• Good grasp of SAC Live and acquired/import data connectivity methods.

• Comprehensive knowledge of S/4HANA data models and business processes.

• Strong skills in SQL, data modeling, debugging, and performance tuning.
