This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the target-state platform architecture, established pathways, and engineering standards throughout the platform engineering initiative.
• Act as the highest-level technical authority on the platform development and offer technical guidance to the Platform Enablement team.
• Create and enhance internal platform functionalities to boost delivery speed, ensure deployment safety, and enhance reliability among engineering teams.
• Implement infrastructure automation, delivery pipelines, and secure provisioning methods for mission-critical systems authorized by FedRAMP.
• Standardize observability, consistency across environments, and release controls for various applications.
• Minimize operational burdens by developing self-service platform features and reusable engineering patterns, including golden-path templates and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules.
• Function as a proactive platform leader, setting standards, promoting adoption, and preventing fragmentation among teams.
• Collaborate with the client’s Product Owner and Staff Technical Product Manager on the platform roadmap and prioritization.
• Engage in two-week Agile sprints, architecture evaluations, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Carry out other relevant responsibilities as qualified and trained to do so.
• A bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Proven experience in designing and developing internal platforms that enhance delivery speed, deployment safety, and reliability across teams.
• Extensive knowledge in infrastructure automation, delivery pipelines, environment design, and secure provisioning for mission-critical systems.
• Established ability to standardize observability, maintain environment consistency, and implement release controls across various applications.
• Experience in minimizing operational burdens by creating self-service platform capabilities and reusable engineering patterns.
• Demonstrated hands-on leadership in platform development, including establishing standards, promoting adoption, and mitigating fragmentation across teams.
• Strong experience with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Datadog, and Terraform-based golden-path/IaC patterns.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Tier 4 High Risk Public Trust clearance.
• Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the US.

• Previous experience with federal digital services or comparable large-scale, multi-team modernization contracts is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, such as GitLab AI features and AWS Bedrock, within FedRAMP-authorized environments is advantageous.
