Staff Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• This position is part of our platform team, responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining the backend APIs and services that support the engineering team's efforts as our AI workflow platform expands significantly.

• Example projects include the development of a unified API for our insights data and the large-scale storage of metrics from our data providers.

• Our technology stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, with React used on the frontend.

• We operate remotely by default, complemented by in-person collaboration: product, engineering, and design teams convene for a focused build week every few months, along with a summer retreat.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in building and maintaining large-scale software applications, with recent experience at a Staff or Lead IC level: setting the technical direction rather than merely executing it.

• A proven history of driving products from inception to launch, preferably in Series A to C startups.

• You elevate the engineering team's standards through design reviews, mentoring, and establishing practices that other engineers adopt.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment: short project cycles, adapting requirements, and a high level of ownership.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical challenges into business implications.

• Experience in developing or integrating LLM-powered product features or agent systems.

• Willingness to work with significant overlap with Eastern Time.
