This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance the current batch, analytics, and MLOps platforms to boost reliability, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
• Create infrastructure for semantic and ontology layers, incorporating authoring and governance tools, lifecycle management, and catalog integration.
• Architect usage infrastructure, including APIs, libraries, and services for internal users, client-facing products, and AI agents.
• Execute permission-aware semantic discovery.
• Facilitate technology adoption across engineering teams through well-considered architectural decisions.
• Spearhead prototyping and R&D initiatives alongside analytics product and engineering teams.
• Provide mentorship to engineers in system design, first-principles thinking, and product understanding.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Platform Engineering as an individual contributor.
• Over 10 years of software engineering experience emphasizing enterprise-scale data platforms, analytics infrastructure, and AI/ML systems.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in science, technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in building or managing MLOps platforms, from data access and feature engineering to model deployment and monitoring.
• Proficient in data modeling, schema design, and ensuring data quality.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent-based architectures for governed data access, semantic discovery, and enterprise data retrieval.
• Skilled in designing federated catalog architectures for cohesive data access across various platforms and data silos.
• Knowledgeable in security, compliance, governance, data residency, and access control concerning AI/ML workloads.
• Experience with distributed computing, cloud-native infrastructure, and large-scale public-cloud data workloads such as AWS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and managing production workloads.
• Proven track record in managing and evolving shared platform architectures.
• Ability to drive architectural consensus through technical influence, reference architectures, and collaborative efforts.
• Experience in credit risk, financial services, or other regulated data sectors.
