Staff Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain network infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises settings.

• Establish and oversee routing architectures such as BGP, OSPF, route policies, and peering strategies.

• Implement and manage hybrid networking solutions, including VPNs, Direct Connect, and inter-region routing.

• Configure and manage Juniper networking devices.

• Create network automation processes utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.

• Apply network security measures involving segmentation, firewall policies, and access management.

• Engage in capacity planning, performance optimization, and traffic analysis.

• Take part in incident response and root cause analysis for network-related disruptions.

• Oversee ISP connectivity, including transit providers, private circuits, and carrier partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering roles.

• Relevant experience or certification (e.g., CCNP or JNCIP in Data Center, Enterprise, or Service Provider).

• In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, routing policies, and network troubleshooting techniques.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, routing, switching, and load balancing principles.

• Practical experience with Juniper networking platforms (SRX Firewalls, QFX switches).

• Proficient in troubleshooting layer 2 issues (including ARP, MAC address tables, LACP, and MC-LAG).

• Capable of resolving DNS-related problems.

• Familiarity with standard network cabling practices.

• Experience with Kubernetes CNI (Calico, Cilium).
