Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Set up, configure, and oversee network hosts and services, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN endpoints.

• Conduct network maintenance and upgrades, occasionally outside of regular hours, including evenings or weekends.

• Diagnose and resolve network issues and outages.

• Provide support for global production and corporate network infrastructure, encompassing edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and CDN infrastructure.

• Assist with vendor switches on servers regarding hardware and software concerns.

• Help manage traffic and inquiries raised by ISPs and partners.

• Address incidents like input errors, CRC, and RMA issues.

• Collaborate directly with ISPs and vendors to troubleshoot network challenges.

• Resolve routine issues in alignment with company policies and procedures.

• Execute other responsibilities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-year college or university, along with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Foundational knowledge of routing, switching, server operating systems, Active Directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines, and software applications.

• Familiar with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies.

• Comprehension of server hardware technologies related to content delivery performance and capacity.

• Capability to work independently with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.

• Ability to perform office-related tasks, including extended periods of sitting or standing.

• Capacity to navigate within an office environment.

• Proficient in using a computer.

• Effective communication skills.
