Staff Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the models and algorithms integral to Routing & Presence.

• Strategically plan and define ML projects with built-in observability and iterability from the outset.

• Suggest and assess various alternatives.

• Create tailored experimentation frameworks focused on routing results.

• Facilitate innovation sessions with the Product team prior to the product development stage.

• Identify additional data sources necessary for learning and evaluation processes.

• Integrate multiple signals to facilitate dynamic routing decisions.

• Define the interface between traditional ML and LLM-driven components.

• Proactively identify potential issues throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Collaborate across diverse teams and systems.

• Mentor scientists and engineers to foster their growth.

• Maintain a forward-looking perspective of 18+ months.

• Establish a reputation as a subject-matter expert.

• Implement classical ML techniques (probabilistic models, feature engineering, optimization, model selection).

• Engage directly with generative AI and LLMs.

• Design and execute experiments from start to finish.

• Deploy ML solutions in a production environment.

• Clearly communicate designs and decisions to engineers and scientists.
