This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• You will apply statistical rigor to inform business decisions.
• As part of the BI team, your role involves surpassing descriptive analysis by implementing statistical and machine learning models to identify patterns, validate hypotheses, and produce forecasts that inform genuine business strategies.
• Execute statistical analyses to address business inquiries including hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, segmentation, and predictive modeling;
• Carry out exploratory data analysis (EDA) to gain insights into the data prior to modeling, pinpointing patterns and inconsistencies;
• Develop intricate SQL queries in ClickHouse and BigQuery to retrieve and prepare data for analysis and modeling;
• Utilize Python for data manipulation, exploratory analyses, and prototyping models;
• Clearly convey results and insights to business teams — translating statistical findings into actionable decisions;
• Work alongside the BI team to define metrics, ensure data quality, and establish best practices in analytics;
• Oversee models in production, monitor their performance, and suggest ongoing enhancements.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline;
• Proficient in Python for data analysis;
• Strong foundation in applied statistics: hypothesis testing, regression, distributions, confidence intervals;
• Experience with supervised modeling techniques: classification and regression, along with familiarity with model evaluation metrics (MAPE, RMSE, etc.);
• Solid SQL expertise for conducting complex analyses (CTEs, window functions, large-scale aggregations);
• Adherence to development best practices: organized code, utilization of Git, basic testing;
• Capability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders across diverse areas;
• Familiarity with ClickHouse and BigQuery;
• Knowledge or experience in the Retail sector;
• Experience with Spark for analyzing and processing large volumes of data;
• Familiarity with orchestration or model versioning tools (e.g., Airflow or similar);
• Portfolio of analyses or projects showcasing applied statistical reasoning.
