This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Create, develop, and sustain high-quality foundational gameplay systems, frameworks, workflows, and tools using C++ on Unreal Engine 5.
• Offer technical guidance for shared gameplay systems.
• Work alongside engineers and content creators to advance architecture, pinpoint risks, and guarantee scalability within the simulation and networking model.
• Take ownership of game performance and optimization by profiling the game, discerning bottlenecks and risks, setting priorities, and executing code optimizations.
• Implement performance practices, metrics, budgets, profiling workflows, and tools.
• Empower engineers and content creators to comprehend runtime costs and enhance their systems.
• Proficient in C++ with the capability to design, implement, debug, profile, and maintain production-quality systems within a large codebase.
• Proven experience in architecting and evolving large-scale gameplay systems, frameworks, or shared gameplay infrastructure.
• Extensive expertise in profiling and optimizing real-time games, encompassing CPU, memory, networking, and systemic performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in developing and launching multiplayer games, especially those with intricate gameplay simulation and networking requirements (preferred).
• Background in developing and optimizing games for both PC and console platforms (preferred).
