Staff Fullstack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and architecture of intricate, multi-stack systems, developing abstractions that address recurring challenges throughout the engineering organization;

• Proactively recognize and implement architectural modifications to mitigate technical debt and ensure enduring maintainability;

• Anticipate edge cases and structural failures during design phases, elevating the standards for system availability and resilience;

• Serve as a conduit between technical capabilities and product vision, making sure we construct the right solutions in the correct manner;

• Provide thorough, systemic feedback on design documents and pull requests, nurturing a culture of technical excellence;

• Mentor Senior and Lead engineers, speeding up their development and establishing enduring best practices that persist beyond your direct involvement;

⛳️ Requirements

• BSc./MSc. Degree in Computer Science or a related field;

• Extensive experience with Backend programming languages, particularly JVM-based ones like Java/Kotlin;

• Demonstrated experience in architecting and deploying solutions on AWS;

• Polyglot & Pragmatic: You possess deep knowledge in Java/Kotlin, ReactJS, and TypeScript, but also recognize when 'Vanilla JS' or a Node.js BFF is the precise tool for the task;

• Distributed Systems Expert: You have significant experience working with Microservices and Micro-frontend architectures on a large scale;

• Strong Foundation in Computer Science: You excel in data structures, asynchronous programming, and complexity analysis, applying these concepts to resolve real-world business challenges;

• Quality Advocate: You view testing as a fundamental aspect, not a chore. You strike a balance between UX requirements and system costs, availability, and maintainability;

• Strategic Communicator: You are proficient in English and excel in asynchronous communication, adept at conveying complex technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders;

• Community Builder: You have a proven history of promoting collaboration across teams and disseminating knowledge through RFCs, tech talks, or documentation;

• Professional fluency in English for global collaboration.
