Staff Engineer, Retail Media, AdTech Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical strategy for Retail Media Ad Solutions, prioritizing scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Architect and oversee the development of Node.js/TypeScript microservices, ensuring a clean and modular design.

• Create and sustain high-performance frontend applications utilizing React, Next.js, and Material-UI, with robust form logic through Formik and JSONSchema validation.

• Enhance real-time and high-throughput data systems, integrating with MongoDB, Redis, and Algolia to facilitate swift ad delivery and campaign insights.

• Utilize BullMQ and RabbitMQ for dependable message queueing across distributed services.

• Collaborate with product, design, analytics, and business stakeholders to align technical initiatives with strategic objectives.

• Participate in technical planning and ensure engineering plays a proactive role in delivering impactful Retail Media experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of professional software development experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or equivalent leadership position.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, and cloud-native system architecture.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining scalable microservices and frontend applications in fast-paced settings.

• At least 3 years of experience in AdTech (Retail Media preferred), with knowledge in sponsored ads, targeting, and attribution models.

• Comfortable leading technical discussions, mentoring teams, and influencing product and business outcomes.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and cross-functional environments.
