Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and implementation of highly available distributed system architectures.

• Conduct POCs and prototypes to validate technical and business hypotheses.

• Serve as an architectural reference and technical consultant for multiple squads.

• Mentor senior engineers on design and architecture.

• Translate ambiguous requirements into applicable technical solutions.

• Identify and eliminate performance, reliability, and security bottlenecks.

• Drive modernization and migration of legacy systems.

• Research and adopt emerging practices in generative AI.

• Contribute to architectural documentation (ADRs) and engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/Software, Systems Analysis and Development, Information Systems, or other IT-related fields.

• Experience in software engineering.

• Experience in designing distributed systems and high availability architectures.

• Proficiency in Java for backend development and architecture.

• Experience with AWS or GCP in production environments.

• Experience as a technical reference with cross-squad influence.

• Familiarity with observability (structured logs, metrics, tracing).

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Experience with GenAI, LLMs, or agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, etc.).

• Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

• Proficiency in Python at a functional level for automation and prototyping.

• Experience with TypeScript for full-stack development.

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Familiarity with DDD, Event Storming, and C4 Model.

• Contributions to open source projects.

• Understanding of security in distributed systems.
