Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product owners, executive leadership, design, sales, and marketing to ensure we develop the right solutions as efficiently as possible.

• Serve as the internal advocate for AI development methodologies, guiding the engineering organization in leveraging AI to enhance sprint velocity and code quality.

• Create and maintain systems that function reliably at scale while prioritizing the highest standards of security.

• Partner with leadership to establish a cohesive technical vision and foster a culture of excellence and agility.

• Evaluate pull requests and design the future architecture of our systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Expertise in large-scale services utilizing Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP.

• Extensive understanding of distributed systems, relational databases (MySQL/Postgres), and AWS infrastructure (Aurora, RDS, SQS).

• You view AI as a key collaborator in the development lifecycle.

• Ability to represent the engineering team in critical discussions with non-technical stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
