Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collect requirements from various stakeholders on a project.

• Direct architectural design and technical strategy for high-impact projects.

• Assist multiple engineering teams in adopting scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and establish alignment on priorities.

• Encourage engineering excellence through design reviews, mentorship, and best practices.

• Continuously assess and evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and tools.

• Ensure all solutions are robust, secure, and perform efficiently in production environments.

• Advocate for a culture of automation, reliability, and ongoing improvement.

• Research & Strategy: Investigate how over five programming languages manage packages and design a universal data model for efficient storage.

• Algorithm Design: Develop logic to automatically resolve complex dependency trees at scale.

• Consensus: Collaborate with multiple teams to implement this standard throughout the organization.

• - **Programming Languages:** Strong proficiency in Python is essential. Familiarity with other programming languages is an advantage.

• - **Hands-on Engineering Leadership:** Seeks a senior-level engineer experienced in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable software systems. Regular contributions to code and leading by example in both architecture and implementation are anticipated.

• - **Technical Product Ownership:** Involves influencing product direction — gathering and refining requirements, translating them into technical objectives, and aligning them with broader engineering strategies. Experience in technical product management or direct ownership of product roadmaps is highly regarded.

• - **Full Lifecycle Responsibility:** Encompasses ownership of the entire lifecycle of major components, from initial concept through prototyping, delivery, and continuous evolution. A balance between short-term iteration and long-term scalability and extensibility is crucial.

• - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Requires active communication with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders across various departments. The ability to align differing viewpoints, prioritize efficiently, and transform feedback into actionable plans is necessary.
