Staff DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain the essential features of the enterprise Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).

• Create scalable automation utilizing Go, Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

• Craft and execute reusable platform services that enhance developer efficiency while minimizing operational burden.

• Construct and uphold APIs, operators, controllers, and automation that facilitate platform lifecycle management.

• Enhance platform reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.

• Lead the secure design of infrastructure in accordance with enterprise security and compliance standards.

• Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment workflows, secrets management, networking, and platform operations.

• Engage in architecture reviews and offer technical guidance across platform initiatives.

• Diagnose complex distributed systems and resolve production issues.

• Collaborate with Security, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, and Application Engineering teams.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers through design and code reviews, as well as technical coaching.

• Advocate for testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps best practices.

• Deliver reusable platform capabilities that expedite enterprise software delivery.

• Minimize manual operational tasks through automation.

• Propel technical decisions while balancing security, compliance, operational excellence, and developer productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Extensive experience in developing applications using Go, Java, C#, Python, or similar programming languages.

• Profound experience with Kubernetes in production settings.

• Strong familiarity with AWS and/or Azure.

• Experience in building Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Knowledge of CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Experience in designing REST APIs and distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and cloud infrastructure.

• Experience in operating highly available production services.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Preferred experience with Kubernetes Operators, ArgoCD/GitOps, HashiCorp Vault, Helm, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, AWS EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service, IAM, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, enterprise security and compliance frameworks, platform engineering, and Internal Developer Platforms.
