DevOps Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure across production, QA, and development environments.

• Engage in discussions regarding infrastructure design and implement modifications that adhere to established platform standards and practices.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Flux CD, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.

• Diagnose pipeline failures and enhance build reliability and performance.

• Create and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar programming languages.

• Automate repetitive manual tasks through effective tooling.

• Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

• Partake in on-call duties and incident response, handling initial triage and assisting with root-cause analysis and documentation.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, security, and operations teams to facilitate smooth delivery.

• Document infrastructure setups, review merge requests from peers, and assist in onboarding new engineers.

• Enforce security and compliance measures, including secrets management, patching, and addressing vulnerabilities.

• Manage and maintain resources on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking and identity configurations.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and execute approved optimizations.

• Take ownership of well-defined tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision while contributing to broader initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, cloud operations, or a related discipline.

• Experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux environments.

• Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Hands-on experience with running and troubleshooting containerized applications in Kubernetes or Docker/Nomad.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Practical knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or a comparable language.

• Relevant cloud technology certifications are advantageous, including AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert, CKAD, or CKA.

• Completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.
