Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain infrastructure that supports service delivery across various technology stacks.

• Work collaboratively with Software Engineering and Security teams to ensure a stable and secure hosting infrastructure.

• Provide support for customer-facing production environments as well as internal tools for technical teams.

• Architect, design, and oversee scalable, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure across production, QA, and development environments.

• Take ownership of the infrastructure strategy throughout the entire software lifecycle and influence platform standards.

• Design, optimize, and govern enterprise-grade CI/CD platforms utilizing Flux CD, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.

• Establish standards for pipelines, security controls, and release strategies.

• Create reusable automation frameworks and internal platforms.

• Define strategies for monitoring, logging, telemetry, and alerting.

• Lead root-cause analysis for complex incidents, enhance reliability, and establish SLOs/SLIs and operational runbooks.

• Drive architectural decisions, review design proposals, and mentor DevOps engineers.

• Integrate security and compliance controls into both infrastructure and pipelines.

• Collaborate with security teams on guardrails, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and readiness for audits.

• Lead decisions on cloud architecture related to networking, identity, scalability, and cost optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps or a comparable field.

• Experience in managing and troubleshooting intricate Linux and Windows environments.

• Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.

• Advanced practical experience with Kubernetes for container management and orchestration.

• Strong architectural background with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Extensive experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code principles.

• Capability to work within datacenter environments.

• Familiarity with modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Relevant certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert, CKAD, or CKA are advantageous.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
