This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions to facilitate secure and automated deployments.
• Execute, sustain, and oversee containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS).
• Automate the provisioning, scaling, and governance of cloud resources through reusable modules and policy-as-code.
• Oversee and monitor infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Promote and uphold secure DevOps best practices (least privilege, secrets management, audit logging, vulnerability scanning).
• Assist with platform integration for AI/ML workloads, container orchestration, and environmental isolation.
• Proactively seeks and implements emerging practices in cloud infrastructure, security, and AI/ML tools; adjusts strategies in response to changes in compliance requirements, platform demands, or organizational priorities.
• Provide mentorship to peers on DevOps best practices and contribute to team-wide standards.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and security teams to ensure adherence to frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST 800-53.
• Over 7 years of pertinent software engineering experience.
• 3 to 5+ years of practical experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules for provisioning and managing cloud-based deployments.
• Extensive experience with AWS (CloudFormation, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, VPC, RDS).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills within matrixed organizations.
• Familiarity with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is advantageous.
• Proficient in GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-focused environments (SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST).
• Laptop provided.
• A one-time payment of $700 for remote environment setup; $200 stipend (included in first paycheck) and up to $500 reimbursement, according to our equipment policy.
• Monthly reimbursement of $50 for cell phone and/or internet expenses.
• Annual stipend of $500 (per calendar year) for professional development, prorated at the time of hire.
• Up to $500 of professional development funds can be carried over each year, up to a maximum of $1000.
• Training and support for staff required to use AI as part of their job, along with opportunities for employees to acquire AI-related skills for career advancement.
• Employees enjoy a 100% employer match on the first 3% of contributions.
• Employees with 3+ years of service receive an additional 50% match on contributions between 3% and 5%, yielding a maximum employer contribution of 5%.
• At least one no-cost health insurance option for full-time employees covering employee-only needs.
