Staff Deployment Strategist, Governance & Industry Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify gaps in data and AI governance within regulated, complex industries.

• Convert governance and business challenges into solutions supported by Alation.

• Provide guidance to enterprise stakeholders on governance frameworks specific to their industry.

• Highlight opportunities to enhance product utilization and consumption by demonstrating value.

• Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover business and governance issues.

• Conduct product demonstrations and adoption workshops for stakeholders in the enterprise.

• Create data-driven value narratives that link governance results to quantifiable business impact.

• Manage the complete delivery of Alation implementations and service engagements from initiation to achieving defined business outcomes.

• Establish KPIs and measures of value.

• Execute enablement and adoption initiatives to integrate governance practices into customer workflows.

• Assist customers in managing AI initiatives with the same diligence applied to data governance.

• Contribute to Executive Business Reviews by showcasing governance and business results.

• Collaborate with account teams to pinpoint opportunities for expansion.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6+ years of consulting experience in a leadership capacity.

• A demonstrated history of successfully delivering projects that result in measurable business outcomes.

• Experience providing services within a software company environment.

• Extensive experience in data management, particularly in data governance, data quality, master data management, and/or reference data.

• Proven expertise in at least one of the following industries: Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and/or Hospitality and Travel.

• Familiarity with concepts of data governance and AI governance, including metadata management, and aligning them with platform capabilities.

• Hands-on configuration or build experience is an advantage, though not mandatory.

• Ability to excel in a high-growth startup atmosphere.

• Dedication to ongoing learning and innovation.

• Capability to work efficiently in a remote environment through virtual collaboration.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to travel approximately 15–30% for onsite visits with customers and prospects.
