This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with underwriting to guide corporate strategies for the Commercial Liability line of business.
• Evaluate Risk Control strengths and weaknesses to maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
• Formulate global Risk Control strategies aimed at enhancing Liability loss ratios, achieving new business objectives, and fulfilling retention requirements.
• Provide enterprise-wide technical expertise, foster organizational learning, and promote development and specialization within the industry.
• Oversee the evaluation and assessment of large, complex risks and significant exposures across various product lines, with a focus on national or international accounts.
• Implement Risk Control policies, guidelines, and applicable insurance laws and regulations.
• Address critical Risk Control issues that drive costs.
• Shape the direction, development, and execution of Risk Control policy, operating plans, and business strategy.
• Suggest and create new products and services with a global perspective.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with both internal and external business partners.
• Establish new industry connections as an authority among Risk Control personnel and CNA partners.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree is required, with a Master's preferred, or equivalent experience along with professional designations pertinent to the industry, segment, or line of business being represented.
• At least ten years of risk control experience is necessary.
• Relevant designations are preferred.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, decision-making, and presentation skills are essential.
• Capability to effectively engage with all levels of internal and external business partners.
• Senior-level technical and business management expertise is required.
• Familiarity with insurance and risk management principles, practices, and procedures is necessary.
• Proficiency in contract management skills is expected.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Innovative thinking in addressing unique and challenging business scenarios.
• Capacity to achieve portfolio-level results through a proactive, long-term perspective on business goals and objectives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
• Expertise in Commercial Liability is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel are necessary.
