This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and continuously enhance a thorough understanding of HR Acuity's entire data landscape, which includes case types, taxonomies, workflows, and customer segments, rooted in real-world employee relations challenges represented by the data.
• Evaluate what distinguishes HR Acuity's dataset competitively, identify gaps or enhancements that could bolster its analytical value, and proactively highlight opportunities that extend beyond the existing product roadmap.
• Create comprehensive documentation, lineage, and data quality baselines for HR Acuity's employee relations dataset, laying the groundwork required for the growth of the analytics product.
• Design and construct statistical models and machine learning solutions that reveal trends, risk indicators, and benchmarks from HR Acuity’s employee relations case data.
• Utilize NLP and text analytics methods to derive structure, patterns, and signals from HR Acuity’s unstructured case data.
• Lead and enhance HR Acuity’s customer-facing analytics and benchmarking capabilities: increase their statistical rigor, broaden the insights they provide, and ensure they capture the complete analytical depth of the underlying dataset.
• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure pipelines, schemas, and data models align with analytical requirements and uphold data quality.
• Continuously monitor model and data quality, identifying and resolving degradation, drift, or unexpected changes in underlying distributions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field — or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in data science, applied statistics, or machine learning.
• Proven success in building and deploying predictive models in production environments.
• Strong Python proficiency across the data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, scipy, etc.).
• Solid command of SQL with experience in working with relational databases at scale.
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud-based ELT methodologies.
• Azure experience is preferred, particularly for model pipelines and container-based workloads (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with unstructured text data, including NER, PII detection and anonymization pipelines, text classification, topic modeling, entity extraction, and embeddings.
• Experience in evaluating LLM-powered features in production, including assessing AI-generated outputs for accuracy, calibration, and bias.
• Understanding of privacy-preserving statistical methods for aggregate analytics.
