Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning solutions that generate significant business impact.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to pinpoint opportunities and suggest data-driven solutions.

• Design and assess experiments, including A/B tests, to measure product improvements and business initiatives.

• Create quantitative frameworks to evaluate new customer experiences and emerging product opportunities.

• Develop predictive and optimization models that enhance customer outcomes and overall business performance.

• Contribute to initiatives in customer personalization, recommendation systems, and behavioral modeling.

• Foster innovation in computer vision, generative AI, and image-generation technologies.

• Enhance and broaden AI-driven visual experiences while identifying new business use cases.

• Evaluate, implement, and refine cutting-edge machine learning techniques and open-source AI frameworks.

• Work alongside engineering teams to productionize models and establish scalable AI systems.

• Operate independently on complex problems while aiding in defining technical strategies and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related area.

• In-depth expertise in machine learning, encompassing model development, evaluation, and deployment.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and experience in creating production-grade data science solutions.

• Proven experience in designing and analyzing experiments, including A/B testing methodologies.

• Strong skills in statistical modeling and hypothesis testing.

• Experience collaborating with software engineers to deploy and scale machine learning systems.

• Capability to independently manage projects from problem identification through to implementation.

• Excellent communication abilities and the skill to translate complex findings into actionable business recommendations.

• For positions based in Québec, proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Nice-to-have: experience with Generative AI applications and large language model ecosystems.

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar open-source technologies.

• Nice-to-have: experience in image generation, computer vision, or multimodal AI systems.

• Nice-to-have: background in developing AI-driven customer-facing products.

• Nice-to-have: SQL proficiency for data exploration and analysis.

• Nice-to-have: experience in fast-paced experimentation and iteration environments.
