This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platforms on AWS.
• Design and enhance our Data Warehouse to accommodate increasing analytical, operational, and AI-driven workloads.
• Establish and execute Infrastructure-as-Code standards utilizing AWS CDK.
• Create and manage scalable orchestration frameworks with Airflow and FiveTran.
• Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to set data modeling standards and transformation methodologies using dbt.
• Develop reusable and maintainable data pipelines and workflows that facilitate rapid development and dependable operations.
• Implement governance, metadata, lineage, and access patterns that enhance data discoverability, trustworthiness, and usability.
• Assist in defining secure access and utilization of company data for both employees and AI-driven systems.
• Lay the groundwork for self-service analytics and future agentic workflows throughout the organization.
• Set monitoring, alerting, and observability standards using Datadog and contemporary platform engineering practices.
• Construct scalable data quality frameworks that ensure confidence in critical business data.
• Continuously enhance platform reliability, performance, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science, Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams to address complex business challenges through data.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural insight, and mentorship within the data organization.
• Shape long-term platform strategy and engineering best practices across multiple teams.
• 8–10+ years of experience in constructing and managing large-scale data platforms, pipelines, and warehouses in cloud environments, with extensive expertise in AWS.
• Proven history of leading complex technical projects and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
• Strong foundation in software engineering and experience in building production-grade systems.
• In-depth knowledge of modern data warehousing, ELT/ETL architectures, and data platform design.
• Experience in operating data platforms with a focus on reliability, observability, data quality, and cost optimization.
• Proven capability to utilize modern AI-assisted and agentic development tools to architect, build, and maintain production-grade systems.
• Experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and software engineers to achieve business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, foster alignment, and lead by influence rather than authority.
