Staff Cloud Platform Engineer – Cloud Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance our CI/CD architecture along with the developer-facing experience.

• Drive ongoing improvements to the reliability, speed, and predictability of our pipelines.

• Establish paved paths that enable product teams to deliver quickly and safely without requiring in-depth platform knowledge.

• Manage the entire delivery process, from code merging to production deployment.

• Advocate for progressive delivery methodologies, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

• Develop tools that ensure deployments are observable, repeatable, and self-service.

• Oversee and advance our Internal Developer Portal and the surrounding self-service experience.

• Collaborate with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure while managing the developer-facing delivery.

• Integrate AI tools into delivery workflows to achieve sustainable productivity enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience roles with a focus on CI/CD and delivery, preferably in organizations with over 200 engineers.

• Experience in owning and managing a CI/CD platform at both admin and architectural levels, encompassing security, configuration, and enablement.

• Demonstrated capability to design and maintain delivery systems at scale.

• Practical software development experience, particularly with production-quality Go.

• Enthusiasm for progressive delivery practices, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and platforms based on Kubernetes.

• Strong interest in leveraging AI to enhance engineering velocity, quality, and developer experience.

• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence across various teams.
