This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and propose new technologies to address intricate challenges in bioinformatics and business systems.

• Comprehend all current Adaptive production systems and their interconnections.

• Stay informed about new and rapidly advancing cloud technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance existing Adaptive systems while maintaining stability and security.

• Ensure the deployment of new technologies adheres to relevant regulatory considerations where applicable.

• Serve as the technical lead for the implementation of solutions within Microsoft Azure:

• Supervise the complete implementation process of solution deployments in Azure.

• Mentor and act as the technical guide for other Cloud Engineers.

• Document all systems and designs for future supportability.

• Offer technical guidance and support to software development engineers, scientists, and other personnel.

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Release Management teams to ensure adherence to best practices for software releases.

• Safeguard the security and integrity of company systems and data by complying with Adaptive security and information handling policies.

• Perform all other assigned duties.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in designing and supporting highly available, 24x7 production systems.

• In-depth knowledge and proven expertise in Linux, networking, storage, and information security.

• Experience in Database Administration (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

• Strong familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Background in working with Azure or Amazon Web Services.

• Extensive experience in administering and troubleshooting application stacks (e.g., Apache, JBoss, Play Framework).

• Ability to translate business and scientific requirements into IT solutions.

• Experience with healthcare use cases, including handling HIPAA and FDA-related considerations.

• Proficiency in a major IT automation language, such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.

• Experience with DevOps in a cloud environment, including supporting developer teams.

• Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities.
