This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Cloud Security Engineering: Develop and execute effective security measures across AWS environments, covering areas such as AWS IAM, SCPs, VPC security, S3 bucket policies, and key management.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage Terraform for the deployment and management of security configurations, ensuring "Security as Code" is embedded in all cloud deployments.
• DevSecOps Integration: Establish and sustain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for the automated security assessment and scanning of AWS resources.
• Posture Management & Monitoring: Continuously assess and enhance cloud security posture by managing and optimizing services like GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS WAF, and CloudTrail.
• Identity & Access Management: Establish and uphold IAM best practices, including least privilege, federated identity, RBAC, and automated remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Threat Modeling & Assessment: Perform architecture evaluations and risk assessments for new cloud features to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities prior to deployment.
• Incident Response & Analysis: Examine suspected attacks and oversee security incident management, offering post-incident analysis and formulating long-term preventive strategies.
• Compliance & Standards: Create and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure adherence to FedRAMP and DoD IL-4/5 standards.
• Reporting & Metrics: Create innovative reporting solutions and metrics to convey cloud risk and security insights to business stakeholders and leadership.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity; equivalent military service is acceptable.
• Experience: At least five (5) years of experience securing AWS environments; over five years of overall cybersecurity experience.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Security - Specialty is preferred; CISSP or other relevant security certifications are also preferred.
• Clearance/Auth: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a criminal background check.
• U.S. Government Security Clearance is advantageous.
