Staff Captain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Overall command of the ship, ensuring the safety of the crew, passengers, and environmental protection.

• Accountable for the occupational health, safety, and welfare of the crew, as well as the safety of passengers.

• Responsible for adhering to international regulations and the company's safety practices and policies.

• Ensure that all Officers and Crew are well-acquainted with the Company's Management System.

• Foster and maintain a strong Safety & Health culture, along with awareness of Environmental and Energy Efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) under STCW Regulation II/2 with verification.

• Required STCW certifications pertinent to the position.

• Strong understanding of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other maritime regulations.

• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and crisis management abilities.

• Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous and preferred.

• Commitment to safety culture and mindset.

• Experience working in a multicultural environment.

• Significant experience as a Captain or Staff Captain on large cruise ships equipped with Azipod propulsion systems.

• Familiarity with global itineraries.
