Staff Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Develop secure and scalable systems that drive Mindbody’s wellness platform, enabling studios to thrive and connecting consumers to their passions.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to transform ideas into features, ensuring continuous iterations with the user experience in focus.

• Design and implement backend services and APIs that are resilient, maintainable, and user-centric.

• Advocate for engineering excellence through practices such as automated testing, thorough code reviews, and efficient monitoring.

• Aim for simplicity by removing unnecessary complexities while delivering dependable, high-quality software that impresses users.

• Participate in architectural decisions and influence the interaction of microservices within an expanding service-oriented architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing backend systems for large-scale SaaS platforms.

• Proficient in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, or Kotlin; comfortable working with a mixed technology stack (e.g., Python, React, Ruby).

• Experience in architecting and designing backend services within a microservices framework.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic or Kibana, along with a proactive mindset for identifying and addressing system risks.

• Strong grasp of software development life cycles (SDLC), design patterns, and Agile methodologies.

• Proficient in SQL and relational databases, with a keen focus on performance and maintainability.

• Excellent communicator who collaborates effectively across various roles and backgrounds.
