This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Develop and enhance a comprehensive healthcare data platform along with a member management solution.
• Architect, create, and sustain high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Assume responsibility for projects from inception through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Contribute to AI-driven initiatives, assisting in the design and launch of AI-powered products and features.
• Scale the infrastructure that connects healthcare insurance carriers with technology partners.
• Elevate engineering standards, development practices, and technical workflows.
• Guide junior and mid-level engineers through technical mentorship and code reviews.
• Engage in architecture discussions and long-term technical strategy planning.
• Produce clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong practical experience with Rust in production settings.
• Proficient in designing, building, and maintaining APIs.
• Demonstrated success in developing and launching AI-powered products or projects.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and backend system design.
• A strong commitment to software craftsmanship and high-quality engineering practices.
• Capability to take charge of complex, unstructured problems and drive independent solutions.
• Experience working within highly collaborative engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills, emphasizing transparency and positive collaboration.
• Proficient in English at a C1 level (both written and spoken).
• Familiarity with Ruby and Ruby-based applications is a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
• Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Experience in performance monitoring and optimization.
• Proven track record in managing production incidents and enhancing operational excellence.
• Knowledge of CI/CD optimization and deployment automation.
• Background in large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure-heavy products.
• Previous experience in the healthcare, insurance, or highly regulated industries is beneficial.
