Staff Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and expand resilient, concurrent core platform components tailored to accommodate Sequen's rapid growth and substantial transactional volume.

• Design and architect modular platform components that provide significant value across a diverse range of enterprise applications.

• Collaborate closely with product and machine learning engineering teams to gain a thorough understanding of their needs and construct platform capabilities that enhance feature delivery.

• Make essential build-versus-buy decisions by assessing and integrating third-party or open-source solutions that offer the greatest strategic benefits.

• Establish the long-term technical direction, standards, and vision for various product and platform features.

• Work in close partnership with our machine learning research scientists to rapidly prototype and launch new capabilities based on research advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bring over 8 years of hands-on experience as a backend or platform engineer, specializing in the development of highly efficient, scalable distributed systems.

• Exhibit an expert-level proficiency in Go (Golang) as your primary programming language for creating highly concurrent systems.

• Show strong systems-level skills and extensive experience in designing and managing complex service-oriented architectures.

• Excel in early-stage, fast-paced, or rapidly changing environments, with a proven track record of building and scaling systems from the ground up.

• Take full ownership of your work, navigating ambiguity with agility and proactively addressing challenges to achieve results.

• Operate with ease across any layer of the technology stack, engaging with cloud infrastructure, core microservices, or developer tools to deliver comprehensive, effective solutions.

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or possess equivalent professional experience.
