Python Engineer, AI Code Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess the quality of interactions with contemporary coding agents like OpenAI Codex and Claude Code.

• Evaluate if AI-generated responses are logical and if the preambles and reasoning provided are beneficial.

• Determine whether the outputs demonstrate strong engineering judgment and are suitable for an experienced developer.

• Analyze AI-generated coding interactions comprehensively.

• Ascertain if the outputs are useful, generally correct, and reflect solid engineering principles.

• Review explanations and reasoning, not solely the code.

• Differentiate various levels of response quality.

• Deliver clear, opinionated feedback on effective elements, ineffective aspects, and any misleading or off-putting elements.

• Assist in defining what exemplary interactions should look like when utilizing tools such as Cursor.

• Make subjective yet precise evaluations regarding whether AI interactions foster or undermine user trust.

⛳️ Requirements

• Highly skilled software engineer (SR+) or Staff / Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience).

• Strong expertise in TypeScript / JavaScript or Python.

• Practical experience with OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor.

• Profound understanding of modern AI-assisted development processes.

• Capability to assess code without the necessity of complete execution or detailed line-by-line review.

• Comfortable providing direct, opinionated feedback.

• High standards for what constitutes “good engineering.”

• Subjective yet rigorous evaluation of AI coding-agent interactions.

• Completion of a take-home evaluation exercise.

• Participation in one behavioral interview.

• Agreement to a straightforward background check for the project is requested in the application form.
