This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and/or engage in litigation efforts.
• Advocate for individual clients during negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Identify and contribute to essential stakeholder workgroups.
• Enhance service delivery to underrepresented populations.
• Prepare and/or coordinate training materials and reports.
• Mentor attorneys, advocates, fellows, clerks, or interns.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the California State Bar.
• A minimum of five (5) years of comprehensive legal experience.
• Proven commitment to serving individuals with disabilities and low-income clients.
• Knowledge of laws impacting the rights of individuals with disabilities.
• Experience in litigation, administrative practices, involvement in complex legal issues, or community organizing.
• Demonstrated capability to lead various advocacy projects.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
• Strong sense of professional ethics and responsibility.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
• Capacity to work independently with suitable supervision.
