Staff Applications Engineer – GTM Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the comprehensive design and implementation of scalable, secure, and intelligent GTM systems that facilitate HackerOne’s transition to an AI-native organization, incorporating AI First principles into workflows, architecture, and operational processes.

• Own and enhance the architecture across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, Clay, Marketo, and related platforms, reengineering legacy processes and systems to optimize automation, scalability, and business impact through an AI First approach.

• Drive the strategy and roadmap development for GTM systems by closely collaborating with executive stakeholders, including the CEO and SVP of GTM Operations, utilizing Data-Driven Decision Making to prioritize investments, assess outcomes, and continuously enhance business performance.

• Employ First Principles Problem Solving to dissect complex GTM challenges, uncover root causes, and create straightforward, scalable solutions that boost operational efficiency, forecasting precision, and revenue execution.

• Exhibit Change Agility by spearheading platform modernization initiatives, guiding stakeholders through evolving business needs, and developing repeatable frameworks that allow teams to swiftly adapt to shifting priorities and market conditions.

• Collaborate across business, engineering, and operations teams to pinpoint high-leverage opportunities for automation, integration, and AI-powered functionalities that reduce manual efforts and enhance decision-making quality.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to internal engineers and external development partners, setting standards, best practices, and scalable operational models that elevate engineering quality across GTM systems.

• Promote operational excellence through effective automation, governance, documentation, incident management, and change management processes, ensuring systems are resilient, trusted, and widely adopted throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, with a proven history of designing, constructing, and scaling enterprise GTM platforms.

• Extensive practical knowledge in Salesforce Sales Cloud (including Flow and Apex development), Experience Cloud, CPQ, Clay, Marketo, and contemporary integration and automation platforms such as Workato.

• Demonstrated experience in creating AI-enabled workflows, automations, and business systems, with an AI First mindset aimed at improving scalability, efficiency, and business results.

• Established ability to address highly ambiguous and complex business challenges using First Principles Problem Solving, translating strategic objectives into scalable technical solutions.

• Strong experience in leveraging metrics, analytics, and business insights to influence priorities, assess outcomes, and drive Data-Driven Decision Making among cross-functional stakeholders.

• Proven success in leading large-scale system transformations and managing organizational change through Change Agility, maintaining momentum and stakeholder alignment in dynamic environments.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills, including the capability to convey complex technical concepts and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.

• Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, and/or Business Analyst certification (preferred).

• Background in GTM operations and strategy with direct experience in quote-to-cash and CPQ workflows (preferred).
