This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments for mission-critical applications.
• Write SQL queries to investigate data issues, assess database performance, and ensure data integrity.
• Diagnose and address problems across REST APIs, web applications, and backend services.
• Collaborate with developers to identify root causes, implement solutions, and deploy updates.
• Support and monitor both Windows and Linux systems and services.
• Participate in a biweekly sprint cycle, contributing to both planning and execution phases.
• Proactively recognize recurring issues and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and decrease support demands.
• Clearly communicate findings and resolutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software development, application support, or a comparable technical role.
• Experience in production environments and managing real-world system challenges.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient with SQL Server (including writing queries, data analysis, and troubleshooting; performance tuning and database management are advantageous).
• Understanding of relational database concepts (transactions, indexing, ACID, DML/DDL).
• Experience in troubleshooting web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and administration.
• Ability to read and interpret C#/.NET code for debugging and issue analysis.
• Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript for troubleshooting front-end issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within complex systems.
• Ability to support time-sensitive, high-availability environments.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.
