This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and enhance the efficiency of data pipelines and analytical tools to support scalability.
• Take ownership of and advance core platform assets, AE tools, reusable patterns, and automation initiatives that elevate the baseline for every AE in the team.
• Contribute to our composable agentic AE delivery system, which is a pipeline of AI-driven skills that automates the complete delivery lifecycle from context to merged PR.
• Create and maintain semantic models that act as a reliable, reusable foundation for analytics and AI utilization throughout the organization.
• Construct internal AI agents and data-driven tools while integrating RPC-based capabilities via MCP servers.
• Devise and implement cost strategies for shared data resources, pipelines, and computational usage.
• Define and deploy scalable data ingestion, replication, and transfer patterns across various systems.
• Promote innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and staying updated with industry trends.
• Mentor the professional growth of the team through technical leadership.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address business challenges using technical solutions.
• Develop scalable data models to analyze critical aspects of the HubSpot business.
• Enhance our collection of dbt patterns and macros to facilitate flexible and easily extendable data structures.
• Drive data observability and pipeline reliability utilizing tools like Monte Carlo.
• Establish scalable patterns and standards for developing analytical applications in Hex.
• Lead working groups, determine requirements, and guide projects through their entire lifecycle.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, processes, and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary data tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, and Looker).
• Extensive experience in SQL, data modeling, ETL, ELT, and data transformation.
• Advanced dbt expertise, including complex modeling patterns, macros, and package development.
• Experience in developing slowly changing dimension (SCD) tables from multiple data sources.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives from vague problems to production.
• Background in building or maintaining shared data platform assets, developer toolkits, or internal frameworks.
• Experience in designing semantic models or metric layers for analytics or AI consumption.
• Proficient in AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, including agentic pipeline design and composable, skill-based workflows.
• Comfortable creating AI agents and integrating external tools and services via MCP servers.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., GitHub Enterprise Cloud).
• A DevOps mindset defined by automation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and a strong focus on user needs and regular iteration.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical solutions into business language.
• Experience with Python is a bonus, but not mandatory.
