Staff Analyst – Operational Analytics, Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Bridge the Gap: Transform broad leadership goals into well-structured analytical projects with clear milestones, progressing from merely "answering questions" to "creating solutions."

• Process Architecture: Develop and standardize reporting methodologies throughout the team to ensure that critical business health metrics are calculated consistently across all operational functions.

• Business Case Leadership: Direct the creation of intricate business cases for new initiatives, incorporating ROI analysis alongside downstream data impact evaluations.

• Stakeholder Diplomacy: Act as the main analytical advisor for department heads, assisting them in prioritizing upcoming initiatives as well as new concepts based on data-driven potential.

• Storytelling: Convert complex data into engaging, executive-ready narratives that not only present numbers but also guide stakeholders toward essential insights and well-balanced decisions regarding growth and profitability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in personal lines insurance analytics (Homeowners and Auto strongly preferred).

• Expert-level SQL proficiency and experience/interest in developing predictive models and utilizing AI.

• Advanced LookerStudio skills, particularly in creating executive reporting suites that aggregate operational data into strategic dashboards.

• Extensive understanding of insurance operational functions (experience with auto and/or property claims is a plus) with the strategic acumen to serve as a "connective tissue" for leadership—using a broad perspective of the data to pinpoint dependencies and opportunities across the entire value chain.

• Demonstrated ability to manage "vague" projects, establishing structure where it does not exist without requiring daily guidance.

• Degree in a quantitative discipline; holding a CPCU designation or progress towards actuarial exams is a significant advantage.
