This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive architecture and ongoing development of the enterprise AI platform ecosystem.
• Guide platform strategy decisions through analyses of build versus buy options, cost modeling, and risk assessments.
• Create and implement self-service platform features to promote enterprise-wide adoption of AI tools.
• Develop and standardize internal APIs, SDKs, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Spearhead the shift from manual administration to automated, API-driven platform operations.
• Establish and expand identity and access management, audit logging, and governance frameworks.
• Convert platform usage, costs, and adoption metrics into actionable insights for procurement, roadmap development, and enterprise strategy.
• Direct incident response strategies and establish monitoring and alerting systems to enhance reliability.
• Over 8 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or IT operations within enterprise settings.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in building or managing enterprise SaaS platforms at scale.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working with enterprise AI platforms.
• Proven ability to influence architectural and roadmap decisions through practical technical design, evaluation, and advisory roles.
• Experience in developing internal platforms, including self-service tools, APIs, SDKs, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Proficient in identity and access management, audit logging, and governance frameworks for cloud-based systems.
• Demonstrated history of mentoring engineers and impacting technical standards across teams or organizations.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation with languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools like Datadog, PagerDuty, or CloudWatch.
• Experience managing enterprise AI platforms such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, or Cursor.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems with identity providers like Okta or Azure AD using SSO and SCIM.
• Knowledge of AI platform concepts such as API rate limiting, token-based billing, prompt management, and model versioning.
• Understanding of machine learning and MLOps concepts, including model lifecycle management, data pipelines, and production deployment patterns.
• Experience supporting AI ecosystems beyond GenAI, including knowledge management, context management, or memory systems.
• Background in enterprise architecture or large-scale systems integration within a technology organization.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
