This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to transform intricate customer challenges into effective technical designs and AI strategies.
• Design, build, and implement scalable, dependable, and secure AI/ML platforms and tools.
• Oversee the development, assessment, fine-tuning, and monitoring of production-grade AI/ML models, including LLMs and RAG architectures.
• Create and standardize GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines alongside Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
• Supervise system health, lead critical AI-system incident responses, and drive architectural improvements.
• Guide L1/L2 engineers and perform code reviews.
• Assess emerging AI technologies and vendors while prototyping innovative approaches.
• Establish technical standards and collaborate with product leadership to convert business objectives into production-ready AI solutions.
• Over 8 years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer with a focus on production ML systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in advancing AI solutions from concept to large-scale production using Java, C#, GoLang, or Python.
• Extensive experience with Generative AI, prompting strategies, RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic workflows.
• Strong capability to design distributed systems and microservices architectures for model serving.
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders and achieve consensus.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python or other core languages such as Java, Go, or C#.
• In-depth knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vLLM.
• Advanced understanding of MLOps principles, feature stores, and model monitoring.
• Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and linear algebra.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Solid grasp of CI/CD methodologies and Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
• Proficiency in data engineering skills with SQL, NoSQL, data lakes, and processing pipelines.
• Experience in the financial or fintech sectors is an advantage.
