Senior Software Engineer, AI Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create engaging product experiences and AI systems utilizing React, React Native, Node services, tool-using agents, and human-review loops.

• Design product screens and workflows for job management, customer interactions, invoicing, and scheduling.

• Develop AI chat interfaces featuring tool-result rendering, streaming responses, human review, and feedback mechanisms.

• Establish production-level AI workflows that incorporate tool-using agents, RAG/search methodologies, classification/extraction processes, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

• Enhance features and optimizations for the AI-driven business automation platform.

• Integrate and process data from third-party APIs, webhooks, and various file formats.

• Create evaluations and monitoring systems for prompt/workflow regression tests, quality metrics, drift detection, cost analysis, and latency considerations.

• Design scalable queues, orchestration processes, retry mechanisms, data models, and APIs.

• Enhance user experience through improved polish, reliability, accessibility, and performance.

• Assess requirements and propose AI-native solutions effectively.

• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Deploy, test, and launch full-stack features and services.

• Optimize the performance of AI systems.

• Address critical system issues promptly to ensure ongoing reliability.

• Mentor fellow team members while collaborating with product teams and subject matter experts.

• Grasp user needs and creatively tackle design challenges.

• Maintain at least a four-hour overlap with the WorkHero team from 11 am to 3 pm ET.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and deploying production-ready full-stack systems that you have led.

• Solid understanding of React principles or equivalent experience with modern frontend frameworks.

• Experience with React Native is advantageous.

• Strong grasp of Node.js backend fundamentals using REST and/or GraphQL in a typed language, with a preference for TypeScript.

• Practical experience with LLM-powered features, including usage, prompting, and optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain.

• Knowledge of AI architectures including RAG and reranking methodologies.

• Experience in developing applications using MongoDB, Postgres, or similar modern databases.

• Capability to work with infrastructure as code, including Terraform.

• Proficient with cloud infrastructures and CI/CD workflows.

• Openness to utilizing AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor.

• Minimum of four hours of work overlap with the WorkHero team from 11 am to 3 pm ET.

• Experience with audio streaming and/or AI voice functionalities is a plus.

• Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as n8n or Lindy is advantageous.

• Experience with HVAC or back-office business processes is a plus.

• Mobile development experience, particularly with Expo and/or React Native, is a plus.

• Experience with AWS is an added advantage.
